Dont Blame the lettuce

When you plant lettuce, if it does not grow well, you don’t blame the lettuce. You look into reasons it is not doing well. It may need fertilizer, or more water, or less sun. You never blame the lettuce. Yet if we have problems with our friends or our family, we blame the other person. But if we know how to take care of them, they will grow well, like lettuce. Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reason and argument. That is my experience. No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding. If you understand, and you show that you understand, you can love, and the situation will change.

Negative words

Came across and article today and it really reinforced what i learnt a long time ago

Some words truly need to be eliminated from our vocabulary - 2 of these words are should and could - everytime you hear yourself use these words try and find a replacement immediately.
"I should have doen that"
"I could have done this"
I did that / this because it was .......

If you did something and it did not turn out the way you expected or wanted change it as you can not undo what has already been done but you can do something diferent. These words are mor etrue when judging the actions of others you do not know their story, read the previuos blog, so how you can you say what they should / could have done, you do not have that right.

More to come next ...

Judgement

I read something the other day and it is one iof those things that just happens to stick no matter what and I bleieve it is so true. How we tend to judge others based on our own lives. Anyway here it is

"Do not judge others as you have not walked in their shoes"

Makes a lot of sense we really do not know why soemone else does something or is the way they are because we have not lived their life, it is their life and all we can do is be there to help them, however make sure you ask them what they want first, rather than doing what you would do based on your life as that may not be what they need and it may not work for them

Enjoy your friends and family

Cheers

Bill of Assertive Rights - Something to think about

Ever felt guilty saying to "NO" to a request, I used to
Ever felt the need to justify saying "NO", I used to

However, When you use the "Bill of Assertive Rights" you also accept the fact that others have the same right as you to use the same "Bill of Assertive Rights"

You have the right to judge your own behaviour, thoughts, and emotions, and to take the responsibility for their initiation and consequences upon yourself.

You have the right to offer no reasons or excuses for justifying your behaviour

You have the right to judge if you are responsible for finding solutions to other people’s problems.

You have the right to change your mind

You have the right to make mistakes – and be responsible for them

You have the right to say "I don’t know”

You have the right to be independent of the goodwill ...

Whether I am in their lives for 30 seconds or 30 years they will remember me for what I stand for. I am living in the possibility of being an inspiration and empowering people to be themselves and achieve their full potential.

THe world is my stage so watch this space as it will be a grand performance.
