[From the beginning]

Born in a small country town, Mangakino New Zealand in 1957 to a working class family with three sisters and a mum and dad. I grew up learning that can't was not a word, and it was not in the dictionary back then so my mum was right, and therefor not an option. Since learning that valuable lesson it has carried me through my life and given me a can do attitude. Tell me something can't be done, give me some time and watch me prove it can, most times. Men still cannot give birth, fortunately from my perspective, I do not envy or pity but admire woman for what they go through during this process and the 9 months leading up to it, NO thank you not for me.

Personally life has been an adventure a learning curve that in the main has been very rewarding and satisfactory. I have one daughter, now 27, and have assisted in the teaching of 4 other children who I will always call my family and will always be there for them if and whenever they need me, for advice or assistance with this journey we call life. Every time something has happened I have picked myself up and shaken off the experience with massive learning results and climbed back on the path to continue the journey, and what an eventful journey it is. I am the master of my own destiny and I choose the desired path.

My glass is always half full and in every situation there is an opportunity, something we must learn and become wiser and more compassionate.
